For Lemongrass Rice

  • One small glass jasmine rice
  • One small glass coconut milk
  • One small glass water
  • One tbs sesame oil, toasted
  • ¼ small glass fresh lemongrass

For Thai Basil Beef

  • Two large carrots
  • Four small bells peppers, sliced
  • One red pepper, sliced
  • Two green onions
  • One tbs fish sauce
  • ½ tsp honey
  • Two tbs sesame oil
  • One lime juice
  • Four cloves garlic
  • Two tsp fresh ginger
  • One pound ground beef
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 1/3 small glass and additional two tbs soy sauce with sodium
  • 1/3 small glasses Thai Chili sauce
  • Two small glasses basil leaves
  • Sesame seeds and toast
  • Roasted peanuts and chopped


1Add both water and coconut milk in a medium-sized pot. Boil them and add sesame oil, rice, and lemongrass. Cook rice for ten minutes, lower the heat and then turn it off and let sit there on the stove while you put the cover for around 20 minutes.

2After that, stir the rice with a fork along with the beans if desired. While the rice is cooking, prepare the beef. Add peppers, carrots, hot red pepper, green onion sauce, lime juice, honey, and two tablespoons of soy sauce to a bowl.

3Cover well and set aside. Heat a frying pan or heavy skillet down over medium heat. Put the oil and add garlic and ginger in it. Cook these ingredients for merely 15-30 seconds then you can add the beef. Also, give the black pepper on top and cook for another 5 minutes.

4Put also the one-third cup of soy sauce, one-third cup sweet chili sauce and a cup of basil. Boil them and cook until beef soaks in the sauce, about 5 minutes. Turn on the heat and stir in the remaining basil. For the rice between the bowls, the top with the same amount of beef. You can add carrots and pepper on the beef. Garnish with chopped nuts, basil, and roasted sesame seeds.
