How to cook Vegetarian French Onion Soup
Here, you can use white and red onions as the main ingredients and don’t forget to top with French bread and Gruyere cheese.
- 700 gr of white onions
- 700 gr of red onions
- 30 gr of butter
- 60 gr of olive oil
- A teaspoon of sugar, black pepper, and salt
- Two cloves of garlic, minced
- 120 ml of dry white wine
- 8 liters of vegetable stock with low sodium
- Two pieces of bay leaves
- Six sprigs of thyme
For the topping
- Slices of French bread
- Swiss Gruyere cheese
