Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of chicken thighs of chicken breast. Cut into steak size.
  • Six tablespoons of soy sauce
  • Two tablespoons seasoned rice vinegar
  • One tablespoon sugar
  • One tablespoon olive oil (for grilling)
  • 200 ml of water
  • 1 cup of rice wine vinegar
  • 1 cup sugar
  • Two teaspoons fresh minced ginger
  • One teaspoon minced garlic
  • Two teaspoons minced hot red pepper flakes
  • Two teaspoons ketchup
  • Two teaspoons cornstarch

Directions:

1The first step, we will make the chicken sauce. Add the water and vinegar into a pan, and bring untill boilling over high heat for 3 minutes. Add the sugar, garlic, chile pepper, ketchup, and ginger then simmer for about 5 minutes.

2Dissolve the cornstarch in a little amount of water in a separate bowl then pour into the pan. Remove saucepan from stove to cool. Then transfer to a bowl, cover, and refrigerate until needed. This source could last up to 1 month in the refrigerator.

3The second step, we will make the Thai grilled chicken. Add six tablespoons of soy sauce, 2 of tablespoons rice vinegar, one tablespoon of sugar and one tablespoon olive oil to a big bowl. Mix well. Add the 500 grams of chicken fillet then let it marinade for 10 minutes.

4Preheat your grill pan to 100-Celsius degrees. Place a layer and pour it with olive oil. Roast the chicken for about 5 minutes per side or until cooked. You may check and pay full attention to this process so the chicken won’t burn.
