- 500 gr peeled and deveined jumbo shrimp with no tails
- A half onion, sliced thin
- A half red pepper, sliced thin
- 100 gr sugar snap peas
- A large peeled carrot, cut into matchstick
- A can of water chestnuts
- 45 gr minced garlic
- A tablespoon grated or minced ginger
- 200 ml chicken stock
- 50 ml soy sauce
- 25 gr cornstarch
- 15 ml rice wine vinegar
- 45 gr brown sugar
- 15 gr red pepper flakes
- 45 ml vegetable oil
- green onions
1To start, you need to prepare a medium bowl. Then, fill it with ingredients like chicken stock, cornstarch, vinegar, soy sauce, brown sugar, ginger and red pepper flakes. Whisk these ingredients and make sure that all of the ingredients are completely combined.
2Next, take a large cast iron skillet, or you may use a heavy bottom pan and turn the heat over medium-high. Put the oil and shrimp in it. Cook for around 2 minutes for each side of the shrimp. After all, sides are cooked, you may remove the shrimp from the skillet and set the shrimp aside for a while.
