How to make one pot red wine braised beef roast with carrots, onions & garlic
Prepare your kitchen and yourself then we start cooking with following recipes and instructions.
- 2-3 kg roast beef
- 1 cup flour
- 1-ounce baby carrot
- Three cloves of finely chopped garlic
- One large red onion thinly sliced
- 3-4 cups of beef broth
- 1 cup of red wine
- Two tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
- One teaspoon of dried thyme
- One teaspoon of sage
- One bay leaf
- Pepper and salt
For grilled meat
1First, preheat the oven to 275 degrees. Make sure the grill pan is dry. After that place a paper towel that has been sprinkled with salt and pepper on top. Salt and pepper serve as a spice for the meat used, if you do not sprinkle with salt and pepper then the meat will be bland.
2Pour the flour on a plate or any container that is wide-shaped, and this is to spice the meat before baking. After which also spread with olive oil heated. Burn the meat on all sides for less than three minutes. After ripe lift and place on the plate.
For carrots, onions, and garlic
1Heat a teaspoon of olive oil in the oven over medium heat. After the hot oil, put the finely chopped garlic, onions, and carrots. Stir-fry while stirring slowly for about 4-6 minutes until fragrant. Be careful when making a seasoned stir fry and not to burn.
2Add the red wine to the pan with small pieces of carrots. Simmer and let stand for two minutes. Then, add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, dry thyme, sage, bay leaf, salt and pepper to taste. You can also replace this red wine with another.
3Put the hot wine on to the carrots and onions that are already cooked in the oven. Then cover the oven and leave for a few moments until the spices soak. A sign if the spice has been absorbed is the smell of fragrant from the pot.
Cook and mix all, meat and seasoning, baked for about two hours or until the flesh is smooth and can be cut with a fork. Then remove from the oven and let stand for twenty minutes. After twenty minutes, ready to eat!
