Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs your favorite part of beef
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup vinegar (better use rice wine vinegar)
  • 3 tablespoon liquid smoke
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chopped dry red pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • bamboo skewers to hang the meat

Directions:

1Prepare ziplock bag or a bowl then add the rice wine vinegar, liquid smoke, soy sauce, and add onion powder, garlic powder, chopped dry red pepper. Cut off excess fat and cut the meat into strips or whatever size you want as long as it is not too small.

2Move the beef strips to the marinade mixture then shake well. Then remove the excess air in the bag and place the bag into a bowl, so there is no leakage. If you are using a bowl, cover the bowl with plastic then put the bowl in refrigerator for 4 hours or more.

3After the meat is well marinated, move the bowl or seal bag from the fridge remove any excess marinade mixture and swipe the meat with a towel or tissue until dry. Then hang the meat by using bamboo skewers in the oven. You can hang the meat for 5 pieces each.

4Set the oven to the lowest temperature then bake for 4 hours or more. Don’t forget to check the meat for every one hour and watch the excess meat gravy that drops down in the oven. If you like super dry Low Carb Beef Jerky you can bake it for 10 hours more.
