Mac and cheese offers the best delicacy from being creamy, savory, filling, and super tasty. All ages love this dish, and it can never be wrong to add lobster in it. It elevates the taste, while it actually looks sophisticated.

How to Make Lobster Mac and Cheese

This recipe uses cavatappi, but the regular macaroni should be fine as well. The key will be on stirring while it is right over the heat. Stir diligently to prevent any mixture from not going smooth.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb of well cooked lobster, chop roughly
  • 1 lb of cavatappi
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • ½ cup of Panko breadcrumbs
  • ¾ cup of shredded parmesan, divide
  • 1 cup of shredded Fontina
  • 1½ cup of shredded white cheddar cheese
  • Black pepper, freshly ground
  • Kosher salt
  • 2½ cup of whole milk
  • ¼ cup of all purposes flour
  • ¼ cup of butter

Directions

1Preheat the oven to 350°F. Take a large pot, and boil some water with some salt added. When it is boiled, toss in the cavatappi and cook. You need it to be al dente. Drain the cavatappi and set it aside. Now take a large size sauce pan and melt the butter over medium heat.

2When it is melted, add the flour and whisk for around three minutes until it turns golden. Add milk and whisk. Then, season the mixture with pepper and salt. Let the mixture simmers and get a little thick. Now, remove the pan from heat and add the cheddar, stir. Add ½ cup of the parmesan and fontina, and whisk.

3Add the lobster and al dente cavatappi, and stir to combine. Remove the pan from heat. Set aside. Prepare a baking sheet and grease it. Transfer the pasta mixture into the baking sheet and set aside. This recipe uses about 9×13 inches baking sheet.

4In a small mixing bowl, mix the olive oil, the remaining parmesan cheese, and panko bread crumbs. Add with pepper and salt, and stir to combine. Pour it over the pasta and spread it evenly. Transfer the baking sheet into the oven and bake until it turns golden. It should take around 25 minutes. Take it out and serve.

It makes a decent, and fancy, breakfast and brunch menu. However, it should make a decent dish for a dinner as well.
