How to make Caramel Chocolate Pretzel Rods

Make 15 pieces of Caramel Chocolate Pretzel Rods at home in only 20 minutes of preparation.

  • 100 ml light corn syrup
  • 100 gr sugar
  • 45 gr butter
  • 100 gr heavy cream
  • 15 pieces pretzel rods
  • 200 gr of melting chocolate
  • Some Christmas decorations

1First of all, you need to prepare for the cookie sheet. Make sure that it has been lined with parchment paper. After that, you may set it aside for a while and continue to prepare for other ingredients. For the next step, you need to prepare for the corn syrup. Follow the instructions below.

2Simply prepare a medium pan and heat it with corn syrup over medium heat. Bring the corn syrup to boil. When it begins to bubble, you can add the sugar in it to combine. Stir these ingredients occasionally until they are completely mixed. After that, follow the next step below.

3When the sugar and syrup are well mixed, you need to cook them for a little bit longer without stirring. Make sure the mixture turns into a golden color and then you may turn the heat off. After that, continue to add with the butter and stir them until well blended.

4After the butter is thoroughly blended, you can add the cream to the mixture and stir again until they are well mixed. Now, your caramel mixture is ready to use. Simply prepare a tall cup and transfer the caramel mixture to it. Then, prepare your pretzel sticks for the next step.

5Now, you need to dip the pretzel rod into the caramel mixture. You may dip around ¾ part of the rod and left the remaining part with no caramel dipping. Then, after you dip each pretzel rod, you may place them into the prepared baking dish. Make sure you arrange them well in a single layer.

6Place the baking dish in the refrigerator to chill for around 30 minutes until the caramel is ready to set. While waiting for the caramel to get firm, you may use the time to melt the chocolate in a microwave for several minutes until it is completely melted and smooth.

Dip the caramel pretzel into the melted chocolate and decorate them with sprinkles. Return them to the tray and refrigerate for around 30 minutes until they are ready to serve. After that, you may take them out of the refrigerator and enjoy them immediately!
