How to Make Blueberry Cookies

The recipe is actually pretty basic. The entire ingredients should be able to be found easily. The steps are simple and easy to follow as well, making it a great recipe for a newbie too. However, you need to follow the timing right for best result. It really needs at least two hours cooling or the dough will be too soft to bake.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of all purposes flour
  • 16 tablespoons of unsalted butter, melt
  • ¾ cup of granulated sugar
  • ¾ pack of light brown sugar
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1½ teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 cup of blueberries
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Directions:

1In a medium sized mixing bowl, add in together salt, baking soda, and flour. Set aside. Take a large mixing bowl and add in melted butter, sugar, and brown sugar, mix them well until it gets smooth. Then, add eggs and vanilla extract until well combined. Add the flour mixture and whisk them together. When everything is well incorporated, add the blueberries and fold using spatula. When you are done, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill for at least two hours, or overnight for best result.

2Preheat the oven to 375°F. Put the oven racks at the middle position. Make sure the heating positions are on the middle and upper. Take two baking sheets and line them with parchment papers. Drop the dough on the paper. Use small ice cream scoop to get the best size. Transfer the sheets into the oven and bake for around 15 minutes or until golden brown. Take out the cookies and let cool for a while. Then transfer the cookies to the cooling rack until fully cooled before serving.
