How to Make Banana Bread

This tropical fruit is delicious and rich of good substances that our body need. To make the banana bread, you should prepare the over-ripe bananas. The inside should by browning and squishy, the peel should be half browned and smells sweet.

  • 1/3 cup of melted butter, you can get the salted or unsalted one
  • ¾ cup of sugar, divided (you can adjust the amount of sugar)
  • 1 beaten large egg
  • 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2-3 very ripe bananas, peeled and mashed (about 1 ½ cups)

1Preheat your oven to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F. Meanwhile, butter a 4 x 8 inch loaf pan and then set it aside.

2Put the mashed ripe bananas into a mixing bowl and mix it more with a spoon until you get a smooth texture. Add the melted butter into the mashed bananas and mix them well. Then, add the salt and baking soda. After you mix it evenly, you can stir in the beaten egg, sugar and vanilla extract. After that mix the flour in.

3Transfer the batter into your prepared loaf pan, smoothen the top with the spoon, and your batter is ready to get into the oven. Bake for 50 minutes up to one hour. You will see the bread expanding and it means that you are ready to test it. Insert a tester into the centre of the bread. If it comes out clean, then you get your bread done.

4Take it out from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Remove the bread from the pan and let it completely cool before serving. However, you also can serve it warm, but the bread may be difficult to cut. Make sure that you use a bread knife to get a nice slice.

Nice and easy! Now, your kitchen will smell good because of the banana. Time to taste it and believe me, you will make another banana bread soon since it is so good. Bon appetite!
